HISTORY OF THE FESTIVAL
The festival was founded in 1951 and it is the oldest continuously running puppet festival in the world –
the Puppeteers Chrudim, showcase and workshops of the non-professional puppetry.

FESTIVAL PROGRAM
The festival offers the MAIN PROGRAM of the non-professional puppet productions selected at
ten regionals showcases evaluated by a professional jury,
THE OPEN PROGRAM selected from the puppet productions of statutory, independent and
non-professional puppet theatres and
OFF PROGRAM which consists of concerts, exhibitions, lectures and puppet films.
Festival workshops
The festival offers 5days workshops for registered participants as well as workshops for the
general public.
WORKSHOPS FOR REGISTERED APPLICANTS
The seminars will take place from Saturday 29 June to Wednesday 3 July 2024 as part of the 73rd Puppetry Chrudim, daily from 8.30 am to 12.30 pm.
